Brian Shube is a management consultant, author, educator and IT professional with over 40 years of experience in manufacturing and distribution.

Brian founded BSC in 1995 to help businesses to grow and flourish. He is an expert on Import/Export and Supply Chain Management. His practice focuses on helping clients to navigate the complexities of global trade and grow their business. In addition to his consulting practice, Brian is on the faculty at Essex County College where he teaches courses in entrepreneurship and supply chain management. Additionally, Brian has been teaching graduate level business courses at Caldwell University.

Amanda Irizarry Food Safety Director


Amanda Irizarry is the Food Safety Director at Brian Shube Consulting Inc. She is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and has a Bachelorette of Science in Food Service Entrepreneurship & an Associates of Arts degree in Baking & Pastry Arts.

Amanda has been in the food industry for 21 years and has held various positions from the front and back of the house, management, training, consulting, cafeterias, snack bars and manufacturing plants. She is a Certified Trainer and Proctor for SerVsafe.

Amanda has her CP-FS (Certified Professional in Food Safety) certificate from N.E.H.A (National Health Association). She has trained and consulted with visually impaired individuals on SerVsafe, as well as the NYC School Food Program which focuses on feeding children nutritious and safe meals each and every day. She is also an SQF practitioner for level 3 and has her PCQI certificate.

Amanda has worked in the cheese industry for over 3 years. She has worked with top products in Grated Parmesan, Romano & Asiago Cheeses. She has vast knowledge of the cheese process from grating to packaging. She has also done several site visits to various manufacturing plants who create cheese. She has a broad understanding of shelf life studies, has participated in sensory evaluations of products, and has performed microbiological testing on a variety of items from certified laboratories.

Jacquelyn ONeill Operations Director


Jackie ONeill comes to us from GE Healthcare.  Before joining Brian Shube Consulting she worked as their Business Applications Manager and Marketing Communications Manager.   She has a unique 25-year background in IT, Sales, Customer care and sales support.  In her former role she assisted Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Finance and IT with various system projects, design, implementation and training.  Her strength was assisting Sales representatives with increasing revenue from leads and opportunities generated from trade shows and events. 

Since joining Brian and his team she is on a mission to help entrepreneurs and small businesses grow and become profitable.   She has an extensive background in project management, communication, marketing, strategic planning and business development.

BSC Inc, is pleased to announce that we have added Soom Foods, LLC to our list of clients.  We look forward to building our relationship and helping them grow their Tahini business.

Soom Foods is a family owned company whose business objective is to sell the best quality Tahini.

Tehini is a sesame paste, made from roasted sesame seeds.  The Tehini is available in two different sizes, a 17 oz container for personal consumption or a 40 lb container for the wholesle customer.

Internship Open Position

Brian Shube Consulting Internship Program Summer 2019

Job Description

Brian Shube Consulting is pleased to announce our Internship Program starting January 2019. As in previous years, we invite current college students studying business or a related field with a CPA of 3.0 or better to apply. Students with some experience (academic or otherwise) in Marketing, Sales and/or Supply Chain will be among the preferred candidates.

This semester, our internship will focus on our food import activities and will rotate among all relevant departments.

BSC assists our clients in the navigation of complex US Customs and FDA regulations involved in the importing of food products to the US. Beginning in 2019, we plan to market our services to freight forwarders in the NY Metropolitan area and beyond so that we can assist them in servicing their clients.

Responsibilities will include:

* Market Research – locate and identify key contacts at freight forwarding companies and enter appropriate information in CRM database

* Website Development – propose updates to company website to reflect marketing activity

* Social Media Marketing – promote food import services on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, email blasts, etc.

* Telemarketing – reach out to prospects to set up meetings to discuss our services

* Sales Meetings – participate in meetings with prospects

* Proposal Writing – develop proposals

BSC is a virtual company and while interns will be required to attend meetings from time to time, most of the work can be done from home during prearranged business hours. Interns will be required to work approximately 20 hours per week for 15 weeks

This is a paid internship and compensation will be $3,000.00

Past Internship Programs


In 2018, BSC started our first Internship program.  This opportunity was given to Muschieka Muschett who started in January 2018.
As an intern, she had exposure to real projects and challenges in a vibrant work environment while gaining real work experience. 

Muschieka Muschett has been effectuated in the company, and is now working in a sales role.

In May 2018, BSC hired  Anastasia Golunbinski as our latest intern. She is currently a college student majoring in Supply Chain Management.  She plans to  bring  her expertise in this area to the company.  Anastasia will now have the opportunity to increase her knowledge in Supply Chain as she is exposed  to real projects and challenges in a vibrant work environment while gaining real work experience.

We would like to congratulate Anastasia on recently having graduated the Honors Program at Essex County College.
